Kit Harington On Dealing With ‘Game Of Thrones’ Controversial Ending - Emmys Backstage

Kit Harington On Dealing With ‘Game Of Thrones’ Controversial Ending - Emmys Backstage”

Game of Thrones won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series on Sunday, facing competition from other TV shows including Better Call Saul, Bodyguard, Killing Eve, Ozark, Pose, Succession, and This Is Us.

"I haven't seen the final season", the former Jon Snow said. "So that's how I dealt with that controversy - I haven't seen the final season but I know what it took to shoot it. And I think that kind of set - controversy for us didn't really affect us".

Showrunner D.B. Weiss added of how he wants people to remember the show: "It's not really up for us to decide what people feel about it". And we knew that it was right for the characters because we lived with them for 10 years. These things change so fast. "A lot of the people standing up here grew up on the show and the rest of us grew old on the show, and it's a genuine, loving community".

The cast was introduced by popular late-night host Seth Meyers, who joked that the fantasy series was about many things, such as: "No matter the amount of wedding planning you do something invariably goes wrong, and how before 23 and Me people had to rely on word of mouth to find out they slept with their aunt".

The hit HBO series scooped the Outstanding Drama Series prize at the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday night.

"I still haven't seen the show", Harington said as his castmates chuckled behind him. Nor do you want to shake any of these people - maybe [Varys actor Conleth Hill].

"For 10 years, Kit was nearly interchangeable with Jon Snow, and fully inhabited this intense character", the source said. "A lot of us had children, a lot of us were children when we started but now we're lovely grown-ups like Conleth".
