Police video of woman singing opera in LA metro goes viral”

Zamourka grew up in Russian Federation and moved to Los Angeles in 1992 to become a singer and performer.

The producer first learned of the now-infamous singer after the Los Angeles Police Department tweeted a video of her singing opera in a subway station.

Yet lady luck has smiled upon her once more as a result of her video that got nearly a million views in one week.

Zamourka, 52, emigrated to the United States when she was 24 and taught music among her several jobs, but struggled to make ends meet after she was hospitalized for pancreas and liver problems.

The homeless woman won plenty of fans for her striking performance and lovely voice, which was only further amplified by the station's acoustics. She had been teaching violin and piano lessons for most of her life, but fell ill and wound up homeless when she couldn't afford medical care.

Emily Zamourka, who captured the hearts of Los Angeles subway riders and internet fans, has been offered a recording contract, TMZ reports.

As of Thursday, the footage has been viewed 1 million times, and two GoFundMe accounts for Zamourka have raised more than $94,000. "Because it sounds so great", Zamourka said.

"I have been in contact with ABC News so that every dollar will be used to help Emily get housing and back on her feet".

According to TMZ, Zamourka caught the attention of Joel Diamond, who has worked with the likes of David Hasselhoff and famed singer Engelbert Humperdinck. "I've seen her for years on the Metro". So she started singing in the Metro station for money. He also mentioned that she has agreed to accomplish on Saturday at an event hosted by the Little Italy of Los Angeles Affiliation.

Zamourka told KABC that the outpouring of support has been a miracle.

"Her voice continues to captivate our city, and as the offers for help pour in, we asked: 'Emily, what can we do for you?' Her answer: 'I want to thank Officer Frazier for taking the video'". "Everyone has a story. this woman does too".
