Delta: Woman without ticket boards plane at Florida airport

Delta: Woman without ticket boards plane at Florida airport”

However, the woman was reluctant to leave the aircraft at first, with passengers telling Atlanta ABC affiliate WSB that it took Delta employees at least 45 minutes to get her to leave.

In a statement to ABC News, a Delta spokeswoman confirmed the incident on flight 1516 and said the airline apologized to passengers for the delay.

"Delta representatives asked a female passenger who was sitting in someone else's seat to produce a boarding pass in which she could not".

A flight attendant came over and asked the defiant woman to move as well before realizing the accused stowaway wasn't listed on the flight's manifest. When they asked for her ID, she showed them a photo of her on her phone, according to the report.

"Well, I'm showing you a picture ID", the woman said. "That's a photo", the flight attendant said. "And she just said, 'I'm not moving.' And she never broke her gaze from the back of the seat in front of her even when all the authorities were speaking to her". "No, ma'am, it's not just as good", the flight attendant responded.

'They eventually told her, "You're breaking federal law,"' the passenger told WFTV.

Officers asked the woman for a ticket, but she said she threw it away and did not have identification, the department said.

"We were stopped pretty quickly, and the pilot explained it was because the lady was not cooperating with TSA, and she did not have a ticket to any airline at all", the passenger told WFTV.

It's now unclear how the passenger made it aboard the plane, which was traveling from Orlando to Atlanta, without a ticket.

'How she got in that airport and how she got on that airplane is extremely concerning, ' the anonymous passenger said.

Authorities in Florida were forced to remove an apparent stowaway from a Delta flight in Orlando after the woman boarded a plane without showing a ticket or I.D. and refused to give up her seat when the assigned passenger showed up.

Delta says it's working with law enforcement and with the Transportation Security Administration on their investigation.

The TSA released a statement after the incident.

The TSA told the outlet the woman was screened but didn't provide more information.

After the person, who authorities did not yet name was removed, "security officials then directed a precautionary rescreen of everyone onboard", Delta said.
