Guardiola says Foden is priceless and will be City's "new magician"

Guardiola says Foden is priceless and will be City's

Cape Town - Pep Guardiola insists Manchester City would never sell midfielder Phil Foden and would even reject a bid of €500 million.

The Merseyside outfit moved eight points clear of second-placed Manchester City with a 2-1 win over Leicester last weekend.

Liverpool headed into the present worldwide break having amassed an eight-point lead over champions Manchester City who suffered a shock 2-0 defeat at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

It has been suggested that Foden should go out on loan to get more regular action under his belt, especially if he wants to have a chance of getting into the England squad for the European Championship next summer.

Tottenham, Manchester United and Manchester City have yet to meet expectations, while Liverpool top the table as they haven't dropped a single point so far.

Manchester City have a vulnerability to them that hasn't existed in the last two years during their title successes, but at the same time they still have it in the locker to put a insane run of results together during the course of a season. You wouldn't put it past them.

"Last year was so unlucky".

As for Manchester United, David de Gea has described his team's season as unacceptable and the nine points they have gathered after eight games attest to his statement. Can you see us losing four or five games this season?

"I don't know, I had never been in the city before, I don't know how people in the city feel", he said, City having pipped Liverpool to the title by a point last season. But Kirkland believes his former side can stop this.

"The way we go forward, the way we defend, we're solid all over the pitch".

They are predicting he'll be back for the Palace fixture.

"When we play them, if we can take points off them then all of a sudden you're talking double figures". He didn't train so well, he lost a lot of weight and he made an incredible effort to play because we needed fast players with the problems we had backwards because we knew we needed to make the build up with three in the back and not four.

"We've still got to play City twice, I can't see us not scoring against them".
