Apple confirms 50 percent of iPhones have upgraded to iOS 13

Apple confirms 50 percent of iPhones have upgraded to iOS 13”

That would include the iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Apple made the latest iOS and iPadOS distribution numbers public on its developer website.

Apple has rolled out a new software update for iPhones less than two months after iOS 13 rolled out. Of course, iOS 12 is following with 51% share.

And although iOS 13's growth isn't as good as that of iOS 12, when you compare it to other operating system updates-especially Android-the story is obviously a whole lot different. 16% have an even older iOS version installed. Sticking with iPad models launched in the last four years, 41% have iPadOS 13 installed, 51% are running iOS 12 and 8% are being driven by an older iOS version.

Apple says that a number of Bluetooth related issues should now be fixed, too. iPhone users had complained about their handset disconnecting from Bluetooth speakers, vehicle infotainment systems, hearing aids and headsets, among others.

It has been nearly two weeks since we last heard of an iOS 13 update which suggests that things may have finally settled down a bit. The 50 percent adoption figure for iOS 13 has been achieved in less than a month since it became available.

The new iOS 13.1.3 software update was released yesterday, the update comes with a range of bug fixes and performance improvements.
