Legends of Runeterra is a new League of Legends card game

Legends of Runeterra is a new League of Legends card game”

The game will be launched on mobile and PC in 2020, and you can pre-register for it as well.

One announcement that specifically caught our attention was "Project A", Riot's upcoming hero shooter that has come completely out of nowhere. The game is set on a near-future Earth and includes a roster of characters, each with unique abilities. Riot is promising more information sometime in 2020. Riot doesn't seem to be too keen on doing a Fortnite just yet so, instead of a battle royale, it seems to be aiming its guns at that other popular competitive genre.

Riot Games describes Project A as a character-based tactical first-person shooter that takes place in a lovely near-future Earth. Is this a mobile game? a top-down RPG? Legends of Runeterra will, of course, drop much more quickly than that, since this early version will go offline over the weekend. Legends of Runeterra will offer players multiple options to acquire cards, "including both robust free-to-play options and the ability to directly purchase any card with either earned or paid currency", says the developer.

The game was officially unveiled - following some video footage leaking earlier this year - during the tenth anniversary celebration stream for League of Legends. Importantly, Wild Rift will be released on mobiles and consoles, and the mobile version of the game will support controllers if that's your preference. It's being adapted, which means it'll have a twin-stick control scheme and it's designed for "15-18 minute games". The game will feature Champions from League of Legends, while also introducing new characters to the mix.

And, Riot has included a 3D model viewer, a new feature of LoL that lets you check out your champions up close.

Teamfight Tactics is also hitting mobile in the first quarter of next year, bringing Riot's own autochess strategy game to smartphones and tablets. It's now ready to branch out to the mobile and console platforms, and it'll do so with a wide range right from the start. The company says it's set in the utopian Piltover and the underground of Zaun and will star "two iconic League champions". If you're reading this and are also a prospective returning player, but can not commit to the demands of playing in front of a PC or laptop, Wild Rift may yet scratch that itch for you, and scratch it well.

League of Legends: Esports Manager is a simulation that puts users in the shoes of an LoL pro team manager. It will take place in the world of League of Legends, and give players a chance to step into the roles of various characters. The game will eventually expand to other regional leagues. After all, nobody understands League quite like Riot.
