White House reporters condemn fake video showing Trump killing press”

"The Kingsman video was played on a small tv in an empty room for a few hours during a 3 day event that FEATURED AN ANTI POLITICAL VIOLENCE PANEL".

But YouTube has refused to remove it from its site because it is "purely fictional".

Trump's presidency has been marked by criticism of the news media, and recently he has even been vocally critical of his beloved Fox News. The video was first posted online in 2018. The original video was from the movie "Kingsman: The Secret Service". In the original scene, actor Colin Firth is depicted shooting a crowd of churchgoers.

A spokesman for Trump's campaign said he knew nothing about the video, the Times reported. View more opinion articles on CNN.

Trump has also turned his ire toward reporters during his political rallies, spurring his supporters to taunt and threaten members of the media covering him. The video is similar in style to one Trump tweeted in July 2017, in which he is shown at a wrestling match body slamming CNN's logo and beating it up. The conference included appearances by Donald Trump Jr., former White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, and Florida congressman Matt Gaetz, according to its website.

CNN had called on the Trump campaign to denounce the video "immediately in the strongest possible terms".

The Carpe Donktum Twitter account was briefly suspended Monday. Reuters has not obtained a copy. This matter is under review, ' organizer Alex Phillips told the Times.

The disclosure that the video was played shows how Trump's anti-media language has influenced his supporters and bled into their own propaganda.

"When the person who actually created it gets busted or identified, they say, 'Oh, it's a joke, '" Holt said.

The Times reported that a person who attended the conference filmed the video on his phone and sent the clip to an intermediary, who then provided it to a reporter. One of the most disturbing parts comes when Trump is depicted violently attacking some of his most staunch political opponents.

Another victim is late Sen. He lights the head of Senator Bernie Sanders, a Democratic presidential rival, on fire. Among the targets: former President Obama, Black Lives Matter, John McCain, California Democratic Representative Maxine Waters, Bill and Hillary Clinton and Rep. Adam Schiff. The lengthy scene depicts Hart killing nearly 40 people; in the doctored clip, the victims have been replaced by news outlet logos or the faces of Trump's critics. The whole action takes place in the 'Church of Fake News'. Trump also has labeled journalists as the "enemy of the American people".

The White House said the president has not seen the violent video.

WHCA Statement on video depicting President Trump murdering journalists.

U.S. media outlets, led by CNN, accused the president of inciting violence against the media.

The White House Correspondents Association said in a statement that it was "horrified" by the video and that "all Americans should condemn this depiction of violence directed towards journalists and [Trump's] political opponents".

White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham tweeted Monday morning that the President had not yet seen the video but would watch it "shortly".
