Conor McGregor being investigated for second allegation of sexual assault”

UFC star Conor McGregor is under investigation once again for an alleged sexual assault, according to a new report.

The latest allegation involves a woman in her 20s who was attacked in a vehicle parked outside a Dublin pub last week, according to The New York Times, which cited people who spoke on condition of anonymity because of Irish laws surrounding investigations.

Ireland's laws don't allow individuals charged with sexual assault or rape to be named until they are convicted. McGregor's publicist released a statement to the New York Times denying the accusation. "Jock strap sniffer championships", McGregor raged as he referenced Nurmagomedov's title unification fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 242 in Abu Dhabi in September.

Reached by ESPN, McGregor's team referred to the statement given to the Times and declined to comment further. Social media was a buzz yesterday when McGregor announced on Twitter that he was down to fight Edgar in December and asked White to make it happen, even offering up his fight purse to charity. "Edgar is two weight classes below him", White said. "So I don't know". That fight was scheduled for UFC 244 next month.

Conor McGregor recently ripped the UFC boss for saying he is "no longer the man", this while suggesting that Khabib Nurmagomedov is (see that here).

In March in Miami Beach, he was charged with strong-arm robbery and criminal mischief after he took a person's phone outside a hotel and smashed it, then left with it.

McGregor's rise to MMA superstardom was in full force when he became the first simultaneous two-division champion in UFC history in November 2016.

McGregor lost to Khabib past year at UFC 229 by fourth-round submission.
