HTC Exodus 1s brings full bitcoin node support and hardware wallet

HTC Exodus 1s brings full bitcoin node support and hardware wallet”

The phone was already planned for before Maitre's arrival, and now it's official, joining the original Exodus block-chain phone before it.

The model will join the slightly larger Exodus 1; it'll launch first in Europe at €219, which is around $250.

If you're serious about crypto, the new HTC Exodus 1s might be up your alley. In addition to the lower asking price, Phil Chen, decentralised Chief Officer at HTC, says that the phone will also come pre-installed with several cryptocurrency-related features that will enable users to "exchange, lend, and borrow digital assets". Other cryptocurrencies that HTC accepts as means of payment are Ether (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Binance Coin (BNB), and Bitcoin Cash. Users have the option of signing into accounts and authorizing transactions with their fingerprint, which isn't unique to the device, plus they're able to verify their own crypto transactions rather than waiting for outside verification. These days, HTC has a new term to describe its crypto-friendly Exodus phones; on the Exodus website, it says "SMARTPHONE + HARDWARE WALLET = CRYPTOPHONE". Unfortunately, HTC Exodus 1s ships with the Android 8.1 Oreo, which was released by Google two years ago. This means that HTC is now selling two cryptophones. HTC also believes that it is better not to "wait for others to verify your transactions", and that with this phone, you can "verify yourself, anytime, anywhere". Key to the device is its ability to run a full bitcoin node, according to the company, which is made possible in part by a 400GB microSD card. We are providing the tools for access to universal basic finance; the tools to have a metaphorical Swiss bank in your pocket. Well, it looks like the Taiwanese company has kept its promise, as the newly introduced Exodus 1s is now available for purchase in Europe, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE for €220.
