Meghan Markle Chokes Back Tears When Asked How She's Coping”

"So you add this on top of just trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed, I guess thank you for asking because not many people have asked if I am OK", she added.

When asked about the impact of pressure on her health, a video clip from the documentary shows the emotional duchess trying to answer.

"I remember squeezing Meghan's hand so tight during the awards and both of us thinking what it would be like to be parents one day and more so would it would be like to protect and help our child should they be born with immediate challenges or become unwell over time", he continued. The film follows the royal couple across the continent and shines a light on their reactions to the media barrage they have experienced since the birth of their baby, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Meghan stated: "Any woman, especially when they are pregnant, [is] really vulnerable, and so that was made really challenging, and then when you have a newborn".

Speaking to reporter Tom Bradby for ITV's upcoming documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, Meghan blinked back tears while addressing the intense focus on her life.

Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, will air on ITV on Sunday at 9pm.

"Harry is obviously very concerned about protecting you from what he felt his mother went through".

In a statement, Harry shared how his "deepest fear" was that his wife would experience the same fate his late mother Princess Diana, who was hounded by the press before her 1997 death in a vehicle crash.

Furthermore, when asked that her statement should be taken as a confirmation that she's not really okay and that it has been a struggle, an emotional Meghan responded back with a simple, "Yes".

She's asked very directly if she's OK.

While many people think that Markle's occupation as an actress would have prepared her for life in the royal family spotlight, as a 2017 interview with Markle and Prince Harry reveals, that was not the case at all. He called it "a wound that festers". "But everything I do reminds me of her", he said.:But as I said, with the role, with the job and the sort of the pressures that come with that, I get reminded of the bad stuff, unfortunately". "I lost my mother and now I watch my wife falling victim to the same powerful forces".
