Meghan Markle Is Not Okay, and There Is a Reason for That

Asked by ITV's Tom Bradby if it "would be fair" to say that she's "not really okay, as in it's really been a struggle?" the duchess responds, "Yes".

Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will take a break from royal duties towards the end of the year, dividing their time between the United States and the UK, a royal source has told CNN.

The Sussexes' first tour as a family came after the duke and duchess flew to Rome to watch Meghan's close friend, fashion designer Misha Nonoo walk down the aisle with oil tycoon Michael Hess.

The documentary, which will offer a behind-the-scenes view of the royal couple's tour of southern Africa, will exclusively debut on ITV on October 20. "We've just come from Cape Town, that would be an unbelievable place for us to be able to base ourselves, of course it would".

Prince Harry has said Africa would be an "amazing" home for he and wife Meghan - but admits the couple can't see how they would be able to make "much of a difference" given the current atmosphere on the continent.

"I remember squeezing Meghan's hand so tight during the awards and both of us thinking what it would be like to be parents one day and more so would it would be like to protect and help our child should they be born with immediate challenges or become unwell over time", he continued.

The Duke of Sussex was talking about becoming a father with Meghan when he appeared to be holding back tears, with host Gaby Roslin giving him a comforting pat on the back.

"Any woman, especially when they're pregnant, you're really vulnerable and so that was made really challenging", she said.

The clip comes from an upcoming documentary titled Harry & Meghan: An African Journey. And especially as a woman, it's a lot.

'So you add this on top of just trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed it's, well...'

He recalled: "Can you cope with this, I asked Meghan at the end?"

Meghan Markle has said that she is "existing, not living" while struggling with the pressures of royal life and media scrutiny.

It was there that they released a statement saying that they are suing various publications for unlawfully publishing a private letter that Meghan wrote.

Harry also talks about the still raw emotions he feels about the death of his mother Princess Diana 22 years ago and his continuing feeling that press attention led to that.
