Tom Brady on Rob Gronkowski comeback: ‘I don’t lobby for those things’

Tom Brady on Rob Gronkowski comeback: ‘I don’t lobby for those things’”

Tom Brady won't try to recruit former Patriots teammate Rob Gronkowski out of retirement, the quarterback said Monday. "I'll always keep the door open". "That was, I would say, unexpected but certainly appreciated", Brady said in the radio interview. "I love the game of football, I love playing the game, I love being around the game". I love Patriots fans.

"I don't know if that's true or not. It's always going to be open in my mind", Gronkowski said following Kraft's comments as he made his FOX debut in NY.

"I'd have to be feeling it big time to comeback, it's always going to be open in my mind".

Since retiring from the league, he has picked up gigs as a promotional agent for a CBD company, while also making appearances as an NFL studio analyst on FOX Sports.

That feeling got worse after an embarrassing blunder on a punt gifted the New England Patriots a touchdown. "So, maybe that'll change, but for the moment, that's where it is", said Belichick following Watson's release. But right now, it's a no. I want what is best for him. He has given a hell of a lot to our team already over the course of a long period of time and I think people should be very appreciative of what he has brought to the team and what he's brought to the region. Brady is hopeful that will happen but doesn't plan to be active in recruiting. "He's just in a different phase of his life". If you're looking for something positive, the woeful Big Blue "D" is actually very healthy heading into the contest (sorry, I tried). I don't have that itch, and if I had that itch, I'd go back.
