Woman Takes Selfie Hanging Over Cruise Ship Railing, Gets Lifetime Ban

Woman Takes Selfie Hanging Over Cruise Ship Railing, Gets Lifetime Ban”

A woman was removed from a cruise ship and banned for life by the cruise company after she climbed onto her room's balcony railing to pose for a unsafe photo shoot over the ocean.

We all spend more time than we'd care to admit chasing the ideal holiday photo, but one woman's quest for vacay photo glory has seen her banned from Royal Caribbean cruises for life.

A cruise ship passenger has been banned for life by Royal Caribbean after she climbed over her balcony railing to pose for a photo.

Blosic then claimed that he immediately went to guest services, and officials on the ship soon tracked the woman down.

CNN reported that the giant cruise ship was approaching Labadee, Haiti, when the incident happened.

Most of the online community is applauding Royal Caribbean for its swift, maybe even harsh, response to the incident.

"What an absolute IDIOT".

With the number of people who fall off ships throughout the year, never to be found, she's lucky she got off with just being banned.

"[They] are now banned for life from sailing with Royal Caribbean", Fishman added. After showing the photo to the staff captain, they were able to determine the room in which the guest was staying, reports The Sun.

In its Guest Contact Policy, Royal Caribbean specifically notes that "sitting, standing, laying or climbing on, over or across any exterior or interior railings or other protective barriers, or tampering with ship's equipment, facilities or systems designed for guest safety is not permitted".

Failure to adhere to the rules may result in ship security, law enforcement intervention, and ultimately removal from the ship.

The picture shows a woman in a blue swimsuit standing on the exposed side of the balcony and seemingly posing for a camera behind her.
