Candid ITV, ABC Doc on Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Scores International Deals

Candid ITV, ABC Doc on Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Scores International Deals”

Meghan Markle has been tackling the press spotlight since the day it was revealed she was dating Prince Harry.

During an interview for the documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, Markle shared how her British friends didn't think she should get involved with Prince Harry. But Harry does downplay the seriousness of any differences.

"Look, part of this job and part of any job, like everybody, means putting on a fearless face and turning a cheek to a lot of the stuff", he said in the ITV documentary.

"But we are brothers".

"We are brothers. We will always be brothers. And that's the part that's really hard to reconcile", said Markle. Life is [tiring] but I think any parent can relate to that.

The video shows Meghan answering ITV's Tom Bradby's questions directly while Harry occasionally defers to his wife who 'gets to the answers first'.

During the tour, Meghan and Archie stayed in South Africa, while Harry visited Malawi, Botswana and Angola, where he highlighted the anti-landmine work of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.

"We don't see each other as much as we used to, because we're so busy". Harry says tonight: "I don't know where we could live in Africa at the moment". And especially as a woman it's really, it's a lot.

"As brothers, you have good days, you have bad days".

Prince Harry has opened up about his relationship with older brother Prince William, responding to the rumours they've had a couple of recent rifts. "I married this incredible man and this to me is just part of our love story".

While Harry and Meghan have expressed interest in relocating to Africa, the pair admitted it would be hard to find a place to live where they could be truly connected to local communities. So everything that she [Diana] went through, and what happened to her, is incredibly important every single day, and that is not me being paranoid, that is just me not wanting a repeat of the past.

"I really tried to adopt this British sensibility of a 'stiff upper lip.' I really tried, but I think that what that does internally is probably really damaging."

On whether she feels she can cope, she adds: "In all honesty I have said for a long time to H - that is what I call him - it's not enough to just survive something, that's not the point of life".
