Netflix Unveils First Full Trailer For ‘The Crown’ Season 3”

The ten episodes of the third season of "The Crown" will arrive on Netflix on November 17, 2019 with Olivia Colman replacing Claire Foy as the protagonist of the series in a season in which there is a "generational" relay in the cast.

Season three sees the Queen's kingdom rapidly changing, from the Cold War through the Space Age, and into the challenges of the late '60s and '70s.

Netflix's The Crown trailer for Season 3 reveals a release date, time period, and more. "On days like today", Colman's Queen Elizabeth states, "ask yourself: In the time I've been on the throne, what have I actually achieved?" It's expected Corrin will have a minor role in the third season and an expanded role in the already green-lit fourth season. "You can not flinch. It's only fallen apart if we say it has", she replies.

The Queen also has to deal with eldest son Prince Charles arguing with her ahead of his presentation as the Prince of Wales.

The trailer, set against a cover of The Times They Are A-Changing by Bob Dylan, refers to problems between the royal family.

Also in these later years, we'll meet young Prince Charles (God's Own Country's Josh O'Connor) and Princess Anne (Erin Doherty ).

The promotional preview is the longest so far, and features extensive scenes of Olivia Colman as British monarch Queen Elizabeth II and Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret.

Her husband, Prince Philip, now played by Tobias Menzies, is also shown expressing his fears the new Labour Prime Minister Harold Wilson will attempt to ditch the monarchy.

The trailer's closing lines offer an apt summary of the show's underlying message: As Elizabeth concludes, "We have all made sacrifices and suppressed who we are. We paper over the cracks". Camilla Shand (Emerald Fennell), better known now as Camilla Parker Bowles, will be introduced in Season 3, which will span the years from 1964 to 1976.
