First Rule of a Pete Davidson Show: Don't Talk About It

First Rule of a Pete Davidson Show: Don't Talk About It”

Pete Davidson is making sure none of his material gets out to the public by asking fans to sign a lengthy NDA before seeing him live. Yes, you heard that right.

A Sydney Goldstein Theater employee told the San Francisco Chronicle the venue was unaware of the NDA until the day before the show.

Effect of Sound reports that fans who attended Pete's November 27th show in San Francisco were notified via email only "a few hours" before the event that they would be required to sign the legal document to attend. However, Stacy refused to sign the agreement and spoke what exactly was wrong with it.

See the alleged NDA, below.

It noted that "by signing this agreement, you are agreeing not to discuss any details of the show you are about to watch or your experiences at this event", with posts on blogs and online outlets prohibited alongside social media platforms.

"It also authorizes them to confiscate (including seize & destroy the contents of) any cell phones, cameras or PDAs and that ANY BREACH of the agreement will REQUIRE PAYMENT OF $1 MILLION in damages as well as the legal costs", she continued.

"I understood and was willing to consent to the initial request of locking up any phones or cameras brought to the event, but I think this a bit ridiculous and over the top". Artists work hard to curate a live performance for the fans who are willing to spend their time and money to go see it, and they don't want a watered-down version of it getting out for free. "The most you could say is 'no comment.'" After refusing to sign the NDA emailed to her from the venue, Young was given a full refund but there was no additional information as to why this was happening. "But to not be allowed to express an opinion, whether I liked it or not, is off-putting in an Orwellian thought police way".
