New MacBook Pro 13-inch with better keyboard could arrive soon

New MacBook Pro 13-inch with better keyboard could arrive soon”

Apple could be working on adding a new "Pro Mode" to its Macs for improved performance.

Apple will likely offer this Pro Mode option as a way to temporarily boost the performance of its select MacBook models when the user does not care about fan noise or battery life.

A new Apple product has surfaced through the Eurasian Economic Commission, as noted by 9to5Mac, which spotted what could be a new MacBook Pro with a redesigned Magic Keyboard in the EEC's database.

"It's not certain that model A2289 will be a 13-inch MacBook Pro but an Apple notebook with the new Magic Keyboard would make sense as would the 13-inch Pro (or its successor) being released following the 16-inch debut", said the report.

The filing simply mentions a "portable personal computer", so there's no telling which MacBook is getting an update.

For context, the current 13-inch MacBook Pro first launched in 2016 and was refreshed later in 2019.

Apple introduced butterfly keyboards for its MacBook and MacBook Pro from 2015 onwards, with home switches beneath each key that minimize thickness. One theory is that this refers to a 13-inch MacBook Pro that comes with the same Magic Keyboard with scissor switches that got a redesign a year ago and was included with the release of a 16-inch MacBook Pro.

You can get the 512GB 16-inch MacBook Pro for $2,149.00 ($250 off) or the 1TB 16-inch MacBook Pro for $2,499.00 ($300 off).
