SpaceX To Launch 60 More Starlink Satellites Into Space”

With this satellite network close to the world, high speed internet access will be possible in every region of the earth.

SpaceX is now the operator of the world's largest active satellite constellation; there are now 180 Starlink satellites orbiting this here planet we call home.

SpaceX is targeting Tuesday, January 28 at 9:28 a.m. EST, or 14:28 UTC, for its fourth launch of Starlink satellites from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. At that point, SpaceX will have boosted 240 Starlink satellites in a rapid-fire push to deploy a globe-spanning constellation of broadband beacons.

All Starlink satellites will be connected to each other wirelessly.

After Monday's planned launch was delayed due to high upper-level winds, SpaceX is about to try one again to launch its newest batch of Starlink communications satellites. SpaceX officials say the company is working on techniques to darken the small satellites and minimize the threat, but launches are proceeding in the meantime. The first stage of the rocket gently touched SpaceX's drone ship landing platform named "Of Course I Still Love You", after its successful launch.

The fairing half was caught by its "Ms. Tree" vessel, a ship at sea in the Atlantic with the goal of recovering these components with a large net. "Chief", will attempt to recover the two fairing halves.

SpaceX plans to launch into space about 12,000 Starlink satellites by 2024, and has revealed a bigger plan to launch 30,000 additional ones, bringing the total to 42,000. As the company has come halfway to achieve the minimum coverage goal, the global internet service can start anytime this year.

"So what's preventing us from providing service?"
