BAFTAs 2020: Brad Pitt's ROFL Harry Joke Cracked William And Kate Up

BAFTAs 2020: Brad Pitt's ROFL Harry Joke Cracked William And Kate Up”

Robbie took the stage at Sunday's awards show to accept the mask for Best Supporting Actor on Behalf of her Once Upon a Time in Hollywood costar - who couldn't be there due to "family obligations" - and delivered Pitt's speech for him.

Brad also noted in his speech that he was going to name his trophy "Harry", because he's excited to take it back to the U.S, knowing FULL WELL that Kate Middleton and Prince William were sitting front and centre at the awards.

Brad was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor at BAFTA this year.

Robbie read off his speech, which began with a Brexit reference: "He starts by saying, 'Hi Britain, heard you just became single". Welcome to the club. "Wishing you the best with the divorce settlement.' He then says, 'Thank you to the Academy for this extreme honour.' He says he's 'always been a bit intimidated over here given the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and the titans that have come before, so this is especially meaningful'".

While a third added: "William and Kate's reaction to Brad Pitt's joke about Harry was f***ing priceless". Brad Pitt later married Angelina Jolie in 2014 and they separated in 2016.

Pitt then thanked the academy for the extreme honor, and explained that he has always been intimidated by the Royal Academy of the Dramatic Art and all of the titans from the United Kingdom in the film industry, and that made the award "especially meaningful". In Hollywood director Quentin Tarantino, the film's stunt team, the costumer designer for his "oh so tight jeans" (Robbie thanked her for those, too), and the movie's producers David Heyman and Shannon McIntosh. "His words, not mine, thanks." LOL.

For the uninitiated, the joke was directed at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's decision to spend more time in North America after taking a step back from their duties as British royals.
