Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson in Teaser Trailer for 'Spiral'

Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson in Teaser Trailer for 'Spiral'”

We're both intrigued and excited for whatever Rock (who's executive producing, and who apparently came up with the angle for this sequel) and Bousman have cooked up, and will absolutely be there when Spiral hits theaters on May 15th.

"You wanna play games, muthafucka?" - that's art right there.

The Saw franchise stopped after Saw 3D, but an attempt was made to revive it in 2017 with Jigsaw. Not only does Rock star in the film, he pitched the idea for this reboot to Lionsgate.

Director Darren Lynn Bousman returned to direct Spiral: From the Book of Saw, which I will be able to merely name "the new Saw" to any extent further for my very own sanity.

What do you think of the Spiral: From The Book of Saw teaser? Tobin Bell has portrayed Jigsaw in all eight films.

That thought is invoked with the utmost respect, as rather than just aping the style of the classic serial killer tale, Spiral: From The Book of Saw looks like it's embodied the concept rather effectively.

You can pick up your copy of the original Saw here.

Back when it was announced that a new film in the oversaturated Saw franchise was in the works, the general consensus amongst movie fans was: "Uhhh, well, why?" Details for it have been largely under wraps, until now: the first trailer has just arrived, teasing what's in store from Rock's reboot.

Before Zeke knows it, he finds himself in the middle of a chilling, sadistic torture game. On top of that, I would have really enjoyed if this Trailer/name of the film didn't even expose that this is a Saw film, but here we are.

Lionsgate has released the trailer for the Saw reboot Spiral: From the Book of Saw, starring Chris Rock as a cop investigating a unusual case.
