Courtney Walsh to play during Bushfire relief fundraiser match”

What had been planned as a curtain raiser for the Big Bash League final in Sydney will instead be played at Melbourne's Junction Oval, following a women's T20 worldwide between Australia and England.

Warne gave more details about his commitments later comments to Fox Cricket.

Tendulkar, India's greatest ever cricketer, is the biggest name involved in the match at Melbourne's Junction Oval featuring teams captained by Ricky Ponting and Adam Gilchrist.

The fundraiser is also under threat by the loss of star power, some players considering pulling out at the last minute.

The Bushfire Cricket Match formed part of The Big Appeal, which also includes Australia's CommBank T20I clash against England at Junction Oval and the BBL09 Final.

"Change of plans! To ensure the SCG is in the best possible condition for the BBL final, we've made the call to not go ahead with Saturday's Bushfire Cricket Bash at the SCG", CA tweeted.

The 10-over contest will be part of a massive day of giving to relief efforts and recognising the ongoing work of volunteers and firefighters.

CRICKET legend Shane Warne has withdrawn from the Bushfire Bash as Cricket Australia desperately attempt to combat the forthcoming Sydney downpour. "Expectantly, we will get generate as a lot price range as conceivable world wide and get everybody again on their ft".

After defeating Sydney Thunder in the BBL 09 Challenger, Melbourne Stars will now take on the Sydney Sixers in the final of the tournament on February 8.

As far of the rules of the charity match are concerned, a five-over powerplay, no bowling restrictions, batsmen unable to get out from the first ball they face, no over limits for bowlers, frequent substitute fielders and captains allowed to sub batters in and out during an innings comprise of some fascinating norms which will add to the interest among the viewers.

But if the match is completely washed out, the Sixers will be crowned champions.

"I'm not sure yet, hopefully we will walk out together".

Bushfire Cricket Bash squad: Shane Warne (c), Ricky Ponting (c), Adam Gilchrist, Alex Blackwell, Andrew Symonds, Brad Fittler, Brad Haddin, Brett Lee, Brian Lara, Dan Christian, Nick Riewoldt, Elyse Villani, Grace Harris, Holly Ferling, Justin Langer, Luke Hodge, Matthew Hayden, Michael Clarke, Mike Hussey, Phoebe Litchfield, Shane Watson, Yuvraj Singh.
