Labour MP hits back after her shoulder-revealing Commons outfit goes viral”

A Labour frontbencher has shrugged off criticism over an outfit that showed part of her shoulder in the Commons as she spoke at the dispatch box.

The New European is proud of its journalism and we hope you are proud of it too.

A female politician from the United Kingdom has responded after she faced criticism online over an outfit she wore in the House of Commons.

In a sharply worded response posted on Twitter, she said: 'Sorry I don't have time to reply to all of you commenting on this but I can confirm I'm not. "Drunk, Just been b***** over a wheelie bin".

Claire Hunter, responding to the tweet, pointed out that it was "everyday sexism".

Brabin, who is also the shadow culture secretary, faced backlash on various social media platform for choosing an "inappropriate outfit" for a debate in House of Commons, however, she not only said that she does not have the time to reply to everyone but also mocked the trolls saying "who knew people could be emotional over shoulder".

Tell us in the comments section below.

She said her slightly off-the-shoulder dress had slipped a little as she leant forward to speak.

But it was her outfit, not the relationship between the Government and political journalists, which caught the attention of social media.

"That is disrespectful", she added.

"I wore it yesterday, I'll wear it again", she said.

Brabin addressed the wider harassment she received over her sartorial choice.

She went to grammar school before studying drama at Loughborough University.

She had got up to raise a point of order about the "really important question" of transparency after Downing Street barred certain journalists from a No.10 briefing, sparking a mass walkout.

Brabin was voted in as Batley and Spen MP in October after all the other major parties promised they wouldn't contest Labour's seat as a mark of respect for the late Mrs Cox.
