Huawei confirms Mate 30 Pro to launch in UK”

The US effectively blacklisted the company in May previous year, amid allegations that the company was a threat to US national security because of alleged close ties to the Chinese government - something Huawei has always denied.

Now comes in the biggest knock-down, the Mate 30 Pro would have definitely been everyone's favorite when it was released a year ago September but it's a smartphone most people don't want to pay their top dollar for because it has no Google Play Service which a quarter if not half of the global population depends upon.

Huawei has now confirmed the Mate 30 Pro will go on sale in the United Kingdom for £899 on February 20, with the device sold exclusively through Carphone Warehouse. Although many factors smaller than the Google Play Store, the Amazon Appstore comes with most of the mainstream apps people are likely to care about, including Facebook and WhatsApp.

If you are interested in getting a Mate 30 Pro, you can now register your interest in the phone by heading over to the Carphone Warehouse website.

Which is a shame, because the Mate 30 Pro is a hugely impressive phone in other aspects.

It also features Huawei's most advanced antenna design yet, delivering high quality 5G connectivity performance whether it is being held vertically or sideways. However, if you really want to have it in your hands, you can soon do it. And for those anxious about not having Google Play, Huawei has confirmed the phone works with third party app-stores (like Amazon's) to let you download and use popular apps. That is an interesting point that is made quite clear on the Carphone Warehouse page, along with the claim that to compensate for this there is a "VIP Support Team" available to help you.
