Jon Peters says he paid Pamela Anderson's debts before marriage went bust

Jon Peters says he paid Pamela Anderson's debts before marriage went bust”

He said Anderson, 52, proposed to him in a text. The movie producer has fired back, saying their union went belly-up after he paid off her six-figure debts. "There's no fool like an old fool", Jon ranted as he concluded in his e-mail.

Pamela Anderson during an appearance at New Zealand Fashion Week in 2009. I bought her a completely new wardrobe.

"I dropped everything for Pam", he reportedly told the New York Post's Page Six in an email. He also told her, "i thought building an empire together would be fun but i was wrong. i am a simple guy who loves my kids. i don't want to fly back and forth to canada.as handsome as that place is i don't like traveling. i'm sorry".

The former hairstylist-to-the-stars, 74, took umbrage at a source telling Page Six last week that he asked her to marry him on a whim - but that within a day and a half, she realized she had "made a awful mistake" and that Peters was "too controlling". Peters said he dropped everything for Anderson, and she had almost $200K in debts and no way to pay the bills. He then added, "ps-i have built a financial empire over the last 50 years that i've left all to my kids.it's something that is very private and personal to me. the thought of lawyers going through my business makes me want to throw up. i need a break. some time to think. i do love you. but i don't know how people get together when there's so much energy around the couple".

The 52-year-old former Baywatch star Wednesday her fourth husband - 74-year-old Hollywood producer Peters - on 20 January, only to announce their split 12 days.

But their happiness was short-lived.

Five times married Pamela tied the knot with the film producer on January 20 and announced just 12 days later that they had split. There is no divorce as the marriage was never legalized.

In the message, the 74-year-old described their union as a "beautiful, incredible love fest", further adding, "this whole marriage thing. has scared me".

A source previously said Anderson felt she had foolishly jumped into the marriage because her heart was "too open" from a recent "spiritual cleanse" in India. He said he preferred to be home near his kids - and made the point to say that those kids would one day be the beneficiaries of his estate, implying Anderson wouldn't be getting his fortune. He started to make calls about her career and cast her in a movie he was working on, things she didn't want'. I hope that you can forgive me'.

Though she certainly seems less forgiving now. Sign up here for Yahoo Entertainment & Lifestyle's newsletter.
