Daniel Craig dreamed of playing Superman when he was younger

Daniel Craig dreamed of playing Superman when he was younger”

The 52-year-old actor started working on his bulging biceps and chiseled abs for "No Time To Die" - his fifth and final outing as James Bond - a year before filming the movie, and did so by stuffing his face with salted and fermented vegetables in the mornings followed by a shot of turmeric and lemon and ginger. His eldest is daughter Ella, 28 (with ex-wife Fiona Loudon, 51) and 2-year-old baby girl (with his current Oscar-winning spouse Rachel Weisz, 50).

"I think inheritance is quite distasteful", he said. "My philosophy is to get rid of it or give it away before you go".

However, that didn't stop Craig from doing interviews for the movie beforehand.

Back in 2008, Craig paid $4.7 million for an apartment in an old converted house in the Primrose Hill area of London. He wanted to be Superman, Spiderman, the Invisible Man, and "even a good old-fashioned cowboy." Craig also played the villain Ivan Ivanovitch Sakharine in Steven Spielberg's The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of The Unicorn, based on Hergé's Belgian comic book Tintin.

While Craig never dreamed of playing the James Bond, not only did he take the role to greater heights, it sounds like he enjoyed his time in the role by admitting there is "no downside to playing Bond".

"People always say to me, 'You must have dreamed of playing James Bond when you were a kid.' The answer is no".

The actor later revealed that his dream was never to play the debonair English agent 007 but to portray a superhero instead.

The James Bond actor joined the handful of celebrities who have stated that they don't believe in the concept of leaving an inheritance to their children upon their demise.

The upcoming "No Time to Die" film came five years after "Spectre".

Few characters have managed to have a film career as extensive as that of James Bond.

Now, "No Time to Die" has also faced further delays due to the coronavirus.
