Man Charged With Terrorist Threat For Licking Items In Walmart”

Cody Pfister, a 26-year-old Missouri man, was arrested and charged with making a terrorist threat after posting a video to social media in which he licked a row of toiletries at a store after saying, "Who's afraid of the coronavirus?".

Pfister's tongue appeared to touch several products during the quick video, which included the caption: "I'm a nasty moths f-ker!"

In a statement on Monday, the City of Warrenton Police Department confirmed an arrest, and said charges were being spearheaded via the Warren County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. Pfister was taken into custody earlier this week, and Warren County prosecutors charged him yesterday with making a terrorist threat.

Pfister is due back in court for a hearing on Wednesday.

The footage garnered both local and global complaints, including some from the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Ireland, Warrenton police said.

The force said in a statement, in response to receiving reports from horrified people all over the world who had seen the clip: "We take these complaints very seriously and would like to thank all of those who reported the video so the issue could be addressed". Copies of the Walmart stunt remain online.
