Almost 100 Surrogate Babies Stranded in Ukraine Under COVID-19 Lockdown

Almost 100 Surrogate Babies Stranded in Ukraine Under COVID-19 Lockdown”

Would-be parents come from the US, China, Britain, Germany and other countries, one of the caregivers reveals in the video.

Parents have paid between £5,745 and £57,365 for services from the organisation that has assisted them with starting families.

About 100 newborns are stranded nationwide because their foreigner parents can't enter the country after it closed its borders during the pandemic.

Ukraine has a thriving surrogate trade and is likely one of the few global locations that enables the service for foreigners.

The country's human rights ombudswoman has appealed to authorities to find a solution for this problem.

Fifty-one of those babies are in Kiev's Venice Hotel, being cared for by BioTexCom, Ukraine's largest surrogacy clinic. All these babies were born by surrogate mothers for citizens of various foreign states'.

Around 50 clinics conduct surrogate births nationwide.

"So-called surrogate motherhood, which should not be called "motherhood, ' entails not only the disgusting phenomena now manifested, but, at its core, is a moral evil and brings countless sufferings and hardships to all participants in this deal, including the child, surrogate mother, members of her family, and, finally, the people who order and 'produce" children", the bishops said.

Denysova said that the first parents could enter Ukraine within "weeks".

'Our baby sitters take care of your babies 24 hours a day in a baby room.

"Every child is a gift of God that should be gratefully accepted in the marriage of a man and a woman", they said.

A female voice narrating the video says, "We show babies to the parents online and our managers arrange calls".

A female voice said: 'There are 46 children in our hotel.' The hotel appears to be part of the clinic used by BioTexCom.

"When parents have been waiting for their baby for 20 years, you'd think they could wait another month but when you talk to them, you realise they can't wait any longer", he said.

Mr Tochilovsky publicity stunt has got several Ukrainian officials to push the Ukrainian foreign ministry to expedite the travel requests of the babies' parents.

'It is necessary for us to inform parents about how much their babies eat, how they sleep and what their weight is. "It is heartbreaking to see how parents miss their little ones".

'We wish they were allowed to pick up their children soon'.

The Hotel Venice belongs to the clinic BioTexCom, which released video footage of the babies to raise public awareness and spur the government into acting more quickly. Reuters reported that a surrogate mother typically receives about $15,000 to $17,000 through BioTexCom.

BioTexCom claims to be "a well-developed, ever-expanding, modern centre for reproduction that deals with foreign infertile couples".
