Bills lineman Ed Oliver arrested on DWI, gun charges”

Last night in Houston, Ed Oliver the Bills first round pick from 2019 was arrested.

Oliver, 22, was taken into Montgomery County Jail after police were reportedly tipped off by another driver that someone in a Ford pickup truck was not maintaining their lane. A DWI certified deputy was called to the scene to perform a field sobriety test and determined Oliver was impaired possibly by something other than alcohol.

Video of the traffic stop shows Oliver doing a field sobriety test in a Bills T-shirt before being arrested. Police discovered a pistol in Oliver's truck. New York Upstate reported that Oliver was taken to Kingswood Hospital for a mandatory blood draw before he was taken to the Montgomery County Jail.

The Bills released a statement early Sunday morning: "We are aware of the situation and we are gathering more information".

We reached out to the National Football League players rep for comment.so far, no word back.

This is a tough break for Oliver, who is coming off of a rookie season with 43 tackles and five sacks, and was expected to be an anchor for the Bills defense this upcoming season, and beyond.
