Surface Duo to feature Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB RAM: Report #87045”

Microsoft's new smartphone houses two equal-sized 5.6-inch AMOLED displays. The device will also not be 5G-ready.

The hardware specifications for Surface Duo are pretty much done and have been for quite some time.

A finger print scanner will certainly care for biometric verification, as well as the battery capability for the Surface Duo is stated to be ... We learned via rumors that Microsoft wants to launch the Surface Duo before its original Holiday 2020 release date.

Windows Central reports that Microsoft will ship the Surface Duo with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855. You'll be able to use that for both selfies and rear-facing photos and videos.

Furthermore, the device is also easier to get into than previous Surface products.

The device will come with Microsoft apps pre-installed in the device.

The company has given little data on the Surface Duo, apart from confirming that it will use two separate screens and will fold utilizing a 360º hinge.

Microsoft Surface Duo leak reveals key specs; check details | BGR India

Microsoft's Surface devices are famously hard to fix.

It will not be featuring the latest snapdragon 865 mobile platform. According to reports, the Redmond-based software giant is now testing Surface Duo among internal team members. Another worrying thing about the device is that its battery capacity is also very small and not that sufficient. If anything, the use of an older component might allow Surface Duo to come in at a slightly lower price.

It will include 6 GB of RAM, and two configurations will be offered with 64 GB or 256 GB of storage, which can not be expanded using memory cards, probably because its thickness will be only 4.8 mm. It is unlikely to feature a microSD slot.

It's important to remember that Surface Duo isn't about raw specs; it's about form factor. If other manufacturers like Samsung, Motorola and Huawei did launch folding smartphones this year, Microsoft will try something different with a dual-screen device with a 360° hinge. The report says there is no NFC or wireless charging as of now.

Hopefully Microsoft will detail its plans for Surface Duo soon.

It'll be joined by enough memory and storage to ensure Microsoft's dual-screen smartphone withstands a heavy workload. Let us know in the comments section below!
