Google App Dark Mode Begins Wide Rollout To Users Today”

The feature will be available on smartphones running Android 10 and iOS 12 and above. The feature has been part of the beta version of the app for a few months, but now it's ready for a wider release. It looks exactly the same as Chrome or Gmail does in dark mode and that's fine.

The update for Dark mode is set to begin rolling out on Tuesday, 9AM PT, and will continue to roll out throughout the week, so if you don't see the feature enabled for you yet, it will eventually find its way to your device.

Like many software developers, Google has slowly but surely been adding dark mode options to its apps and services.

The first method is pretty straightforward and automatic.

Google has started rolling out the dark mode theme for its Search app. Here you can change the theme between "Dark", "Light" or "System Default".

The feature is now rolling out, and if you have Android 10 or iOS 13 the app should automatically detect your theme preference and switch as needed.

You may prefer to disable dark mode in the app, or you can enable it manually if you don't have your mobile operating system in dark mode as a whole. Like always it is set to System default and you can change it to Dark or Light. In the past also Google has rolled out the dark mode of its various other apps.

The dark mode interface will help create a more blended across your apps and could also ease eyestrain related to light exposure on your screen.
