Kyrgios tells Murray: 'You're Better Than Djokovic'

Kyrgios tells Murray: 'You're Better Than Djokovic'”

"I played him pretty convincingly at Wimby", Kyrgios says, after taking a sip of wine.

The Aussie might have shorted himself on the games he claimed against Murray in their 2016 Wimbledon round of 16 clash, but there was no shortage of entertainment during their Instagram Live.

After downing what he thought was about six glasses of wine, a tipsy looking Nick Kyrgios told good friend Andy Murray that he thought the former Wimbledon champion was better than Novak Djokovic.

Explaining his reason for such a significant call, Kyrgios said, "People are gonna take this to social media and say, "Nah, Djokovic won this many [17] slams" [but] Djokovic was playing dodgeball on my serve, he couldn't return it and you're on it and slapping it for a victor, so there's my opinion". He couldn't return it. And you were there ... slapped him for the victor.

Murray responded by saying: "The results would suggest otherwise".

He added: "When you returned my serve, which Rafa didn't, I knew I was in trouble". He was trying to dodge it, you were on it like a light'.

"I like to get up and about with the boys", Kyrgios said.

But the love and admiration might not stop at online banter: they might unite on the doubles court.

"Hive the people want they want!' Kyrgios said".

"We played well in IPTL didn't we?" In the process, however, Kyrgios seemed to become confused about Murray's nationality.

"Like, I'm not going to make this controversial but, honestly, I think you're better than Djokovic, in my opinion". We all love you.

"Team World, that is what we are all about man, if you (Murray) came over to Team World we would win". While Murray was opening up the app and connecting to the video-sharing stream at 3pm his time in the U.K., Kyrgios was booting up at 12 midnight in Oz. The outbreak of COVID-19 has forced everyone through a prism and viewing some through the aftereffects of simply chatting from home has highlighted just how many of our favourite sports stars are kept interesting by Media and PR outlets determined to do so to turn a profit.

"Because it's fun, they are my best buds [in the world team]", Kyrgios explained.

Murray attempted to interject but Kyrgios got on a roll. "I think it's for the younger generation to step up".

Murray seemed a little lost for words, but all in all, the chat between the two was highly entertaining and 100 percent genuine and authentic, which the viewers seemed to appreciate. "Ordinary people like us love you", he said. "You look handsome as hell".
