Giants' Deandre Baker Turns Himself In Amid Armed Robbery Allegations”

DeAndre Baker of the New York Giants and Quinton Dunbar of the Seattle Seahawks turned themselves into police on Saturday on warrants for armed robbery after being accused of robbing an illegal dice game with 15-20 attendees in Miramar, Florida earlier this week.

DeAndre Baker was released from a Broward County (Fla.) jail after posting a $200,000 bond on Sunday, per his attorney.

No date has yet been set for a next hearing in the case.

The terms of Dunbar's pretrial release include no access to firearms, no communication with the alleged victims and, perhaps most importantly for the Seahawks, no travel outside of the state of Florida.

They can also have no contact with any victims in the case. He is facing four counts of armed robbery with a firearm and four counts of aggravated assault.

ESPN reported Saturday that Grieco said, "Nobody is running from this". "If it comes up we can bring it up".

"His career and reputation have been put in jeopardy as a result of an overzealous @miramarpd that was so excited about arresting a pro football player that they tweeted out their celebration and even tagged his employer in their unprofessional 'virtual touchdown dance, ' " Grieco's post read. "We have no further comment at this time". "We have no independent witnesses other than these five witnesses". He turned himself in at the Broward County Jail.

Davis, though, asked to see the affidavits as he made his ruling. "He has never, ever had an issue", Grieco argued.

At a party on Wednesday, police allege that Baker held people at gunpoint while Dunbar stole cash and watches from them. Pointing a semi-automatic weapon, Baker allegedly directed Dunbar and two others to take money and valuables from the others in attendance. Police believe the robbery was planned because of how the three assailants' getaway cars were positioned to "expedite an immediate departure".

Dunbar, 27, spent his first five seasons with the Washington Redskins before being traded to the Seahawks in March. So, Baker might be able to attend the Giants' offseason program or training camp if the team facility opens up this summer.

As of Saturday night, it remained unclear whether or not Baker and Dunbar will be granted bond.
