Sony’s secret new Marvel movie might be based on Madame Web”

We have no idea which character is going to be at the center, but insiders suggest that it could be about Madame Web. I've heard rumors of Sony growing a Spider-Lady film about Jessica Drew, so it's all the time potential that Clarkson might be bringing that character to the large display.

The article also noted that this Sony project doesn't have a writer or star attached, but apparently the studio might be looking for a lead actor to come aboard first, and then someone will be hired to write the screenplay. Variety exclusively reports that the director S.J.

Variety reports that this new project is helmed by Jessica Jones and The Defenders director S.J.

Often known as Cassandra Webb, Madame Internet is normally depicted as an aged, clairvoyant blind girl affected by a persistent neuromuscular illness that makes it troublesome to transfer and breathe, and as such, she's related to a life assist system that appears like a spider net. Clarkson moved on to direct the pilot for HBO's Game of Thrones prequel and was ultimately replaced by Fargo showrunner Noah Hawley on the Star Trek project.

The comics version of Madame Web is generally depicted as an elderly woman with myasthenia gravis and is nearly always seen depicted attached to a life support system that looked like a spider web, which keeps her out of action and leaves the dirty work to good ol' Peter Parker.

There are a bunch of other projects in the works at Sony Pictures other than Madame Web featuring Spider-Man characters those include Kraven The Hunter, Jackpot, Nightwatch, Silk, and there had been rumblings of a possible Spider-Woman film that could have the involvement of Marvel Studios. It's still unclear when the film would be able to start rolling, but there is more of a chance of getting a green light with Clarkson on board.
