The United States has said it will send 200 U.S. -manufactured medical ventilators to Russia after U.S. President Donald Trump offered the assistance in response to a request from Russian President Vladimir Putin. He said expanded testing capacity allowed for more testing of people already in hospitals for non-COVID-19 treatment, and an order from Gov. Andrew Cuomo now prevents hospitals from discharging nursing home residents until they test negative for the coronavirus.
