Serious Sam 4 launches in August for PC, Stadia

On the Serious Sam Steam page, Devolver Digital has posted a number of other Serious Sam 4 videos, including looks at battles, enemies, weapons, music, and the legion system, which allows thousands of enemies to exist on the battlefield.

Which isn't to say there won't be more, but it will come in the form of enemies rather than systems. Rodriguez, Jones, Hellfire and the rest of the crew are joining Sam in this epic journey through Planet Badass. Interestingly, Google has also paid for Serious Sam 4 to be a timed Stadia exclusive, blocking the game's release on consoles until next year. Graphics engineer Dean Sekulic mentioned that the team was originally hoping for about 10,000 enemies to appear on the screen, but they were pleasantly surprised when they were able to increase it a magnitude more.

The skin is also a preorder bonus for any edition of the game.

Croteam returns with a high-powered prequel to the Serious Sam series that scales up chaos to unprecedented levels.

Serious Sam 4 is available for pre-purchase now and will launch in August 2020.

The one spot of bad news amidst all of this is the title: Croteam has, for some reason, dropped the wonderful Planet Badass subtitle. I am legitimately bummed out by this development-I can not imagine a more flawless Serious Sam game title, and it amazes me that they'd let it go.

Serious Sam 4 is slated to comes out sometime in August. You can find several screenshots for the game in the gallery below.
