Disney World Will Submit Reopening Plans and Date Next Week”

It included opening dates and safety guidelines for rides and attractions. Once this is submitted to the Orange County Task Force, they will need to approve the proposal.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said at an economic roundtable for state tourism and hospitality leaders in Orlando yesterday: "Some of the attractions that are really good are water parks". People will be let in similar to the staggered boarding arrangements on flights.

According to ABC-affiliate station WFTV, Universal Orlando Resort is eyeing June 5 as the date to reopen its park to the public.

Universal has already started a phased reopening.

The Universal officials shared they plan to make this a gradual capacity opening and ramp up slowly.

People have their temperatures taken as they come in and have to wear a face mask - all pretty grim stuff for a fun-loving place that likes to say it turns adults back into kids for a day. These reopening presentations will be presented to the Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force.

As of Wednesday, Florida had officially reported more than 47,000 novel coronavirus cases, and almost 2,100 fatalities, with the number of cases starting to drop.

However, Disney has made it clear that "enhanced health and safety measures" are important but, guests still assume all the risk, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Universal CityWalk, an adjacent shopping and dining complex, opened last week with a large group of customers flocking to the newly reopened businesses.

Visitors will have their temperature checked upon arrival, and if it's 100.4 degrees or higher, they won't be allowed to enter the theme park. Barriers and queues for social distancing have been put up.

The Miami Herald and Orlando Sentinel reported on May 19, that Daniel Leavelle, owner of theme park blog Midway Mayhem had been told that SeaWorld were to be testing Mako, which is its fastest roller coaster but one that doesn't invert, with employees. Not only was the park testing the rides, but also had employees onboard with a variety of face masks.

The happiest place on Earth may be reopening soon.
