IOS 13.5 launched - All the details

IOS 13.5 launched - All the details”

The iOS 13.5 update also brings a host of other incremental improvements. This new update will allow apps released by agencies to verify if the user may have been in close proximity who has been diagnosed with Covid-19.

The new version of iOS also features an update to Face ID. The objective of these contact-tracing apps is to notify people when they may have been in contact with an infected person. Let us know when you've installed it on your iPhone or iPad!

This means that iPhone users will no longer need to pull down their face mask to unlock their smartphone using FaceID, which defeats the point of wearing a face mask to protect against the coronavirus.

One of the biggest changes is the addition of the Exposure Notification API, which supports contract tracing applications from public health authorities. Most likely, there's some mess going on with Apple servers that are preventing iOS from verifying that you've already purchased an app. You can find this feature in Settings Privacy Health COVID-19 Exposure Logging. Our technology is created to make these apps work better. If a person has tested positive for Covid-19, their iPhone can share a list of everyone they've been in contact with to the cloud. "Today, this technology is in the hands of public health agencies across the world who will take the lead and we will continue to support their efforts". For example, iOS 13.5 also provides an update to Facetime in which the automatic arrangement of video tiles in group calls can be disabled if desired.

With iOS 13.5 update, the iPhone will detect when the user is wearing a face mask and the passcode field will now be automatically presented after swiping up from the bottom screen. By default, Group FaceTime will have ea tile for each person, but the person speaking gets a larger, more focused tile. A new Automatic Prominence option in the Settings app, however, disables the feature, so all‌ participants are shown in the grid. For full details, check out their release notes here.
