The PPG would not be weighted to take into account home and away games so if everyone had played the same amount of games at a second stop to the season then that's the position teams would finish.

It was confirmed on Thursday that the Premier League would be back on June 17, with close contact training given the green-light to resume.

For the first time in history, the BBC will join Sky Sports, BT Sport and Amazon Prime in broadcasting the action. The Premier League clubs voted to resume the league matches on June 17 and that means that the earliest the season could've concluded will be in early August.

The Premier League released a statement, saying its ambition was to complete the season on a home-and-away basis "where possible".

Gameweek 31 will see Manchester United face Sheffield United, while Liverpool take on Crystal Palace. Manchester City are due to make a visit to Chelsea in this gameweek.
