Katherine Williams-Dunning, 27, was driving an SUV, a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, southbound on Highway 79 when the crash happened. The vehicle then crossed the northbound lanes and came to a stop on the shoulder of the road, WSMV-TV reported.

Williams-Dunning's husband, Tyler Dunning, 29, was injured in the crash and airlifted to a hospital with unspecified injuries. "Please say a prayer for all of them and share your love any way you can".

Williams-Dunning's 71-year-old father is the son of legendary country star Hank Williams, and is famed for country rock hits like "Wild Streak" and his long-running anthem for Monday Night Football.

Country music singer Travis Tritt reacted to initial reports of the fatal crash, writing: "My family and I knew Katie ever since she was a kid".

Williams-Dunning ran her clothing brand Weston Jane, her Instagram bio states.

"I have no words".
