Sushant's dead body has been taken to the Cooper Hospital in Mumbai where he has been first tested for COVID-19, The postmortem will be done if the actor is found negative for the coronavirus.

He was 34 years old.

The cousin said that it was going to be a private wedding in Mumbai with few family members and friends.

DCP Pranay Ashok, a Mumbai police spokesperson, revealed they were investigating an alleged suicide.

Sushant Singh Rajput, who was born on 21 January 1986 in Patna, Bihar, has committed suicide at his residence in Mumbai.

In 2013 Rajput made his film debut with Kai Po Che! for which he was nominated for various Indian best debut awards.

He also starred in films such as "Sonchiraiya" as well as popular TV shows "Pavitra Rishta" and "Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil".

Reacting to Rajput's death, Mr Tiwari told the Press Trust of India: 'I am at a loss for words. Such a talented actor.may God give strength to his family, ' wrote Akshay Kumar in a tweet. I will cherish every moment I have worked with him.
