Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory Revealed for Switch, PS4, XB1 in 2020”

Remember the Theatrhythm series from Square Enix on Nintendo 3DS, which let you relieve some of Square's best music as a rhythm game?

While datamining the Dark Road website, Reddit user Skullboj found a logo (below) for a project called Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, which appears to be unrelated to the forthcoming mobile title.

According to a translation from Gematsu, the game will feature over 140 songs from both the Kingdom Hearts series as well as Disney franchises. Various characters across the Disney universe will join Sora and his friends as guests to fight alongside him. A new trailer, which you can check out below, showcases Melody of Memory's interesting concept of blending traditional Kingdom Hearts gameplay with the track-based mechanics of music games such as Guitar Hero and Frequency. There will be four different types of modes to play, including online battles as well.

Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory will launch later in 2020 on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. And for players anxious this is just a throwaway spinoff, the trailer ends with heavy plot business, because Kingdom Hearts.
