Prince William surprises shielding family with call”

No doubt William has been joined by wife Kate and their three children, Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, five, and Prince Louis, two, in their kitchen at their country home, Anmer Hall. It has been only William and Harry.

"They have done video calls together, they have done a lot of family birthdays and I think with Prince Charles not being well, that really forced the brothers to pick up the phone and get back in touch", she added.

William and Harry are keeping in touch. It's easy to set up and involves no awkward scheduling.

"William is very anxious to keep the calls low key and casual. No-one else is involved", the source said, adding Harry has spoken on Zoom to the Queen as well.

'There is nothing formal about these Zoom sessions.

William revealed his secret work during a video call he and Catherine held with volunteers to celebrate National Volunteering Week.

Earlier this week the Duke of Cambridge surprised a mother and her son with a video call from his country home.

According to the BBC, the Duke of Cambridge recently made an unexpected video call to a woman named Leanne and her 5-year-old son Kaydyn, who have been shielding at their home in Corby, Northamptonshire for the past three months amid the global coronavirus pandemic.

Prince William, along with Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, were seen out in public for the first time in months today as they returned to royal duties. It will reportedly be part of a film about the challenges and experiences people who are "extremely vulnerable" and being advised to stay at home are facing.

The Duke of Cambridge wasn't the only royal to step out on Tuesday - the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall met with key workers outside the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital during a socially distanced visit.

In a separate engagement, William visited the Kings Lynn Ambulance Station, part of a service that provides round-the-clock emergency cover for 6.2 million people in eastern England.
