WWE Issues Statement on Reports of Actual Fans Attending Monday’s TV Taping”

WWE hopes they will be able to hold events out of the WWE Performance Center and Full Sail Area with fans by August.

Last night, WWE announced a developmental talent who was at last week's tapings had tested positive for COVID-19. That individual has not been at the Performance Center since then, WWE said.

WWE wrestlers and employees will be tested for COVID-19 after a developmental talent tested positive on June 9.

World Wrestling Entertainment has temporarily suspended television production at its Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, after a developmental wrestler tested positive for COVID-19. The company was operating without a crowd from March 13 until May 25 when it began to use trainees and NXT personnel as an audience.

"Yesterday, a select number of friends and family were permitted to attend WWE's TV production", WWE said in a statement.

Alvarez also reported that Kevin Dunn allegedly said that you're not a fan if you're wearing a mask, indicating that people in masks wouldn't be allowed to serve as fans in the crowd. "Attendance was below 20% capacity and social distancing guidelines were adhered to with at least six feet between parties, thus face masks were not required".

Angel Garza was called up to the brand by former WWE Raw Executive Director, Paul Heyman and Fightful Select exclusively reported that prior to being moved up to Raw, the only thing Vince McMahon knew about Angel Garza was that he was the cousin of Humberto Carrillo.

As noted earlier today, WWE issued a statement on the reports of fans used at the tapings. This will, astoundingly, mark the first coronavirus tests WWE has conducted, according to the Wrestling Observer.
