Burna Boy wins 2020 BET International Act”

Zimbabwean Born South Africa based Amapiano star Sha Sha has won the BET Viewer's Choice award, This was revealed by BET on their official Twitter page. 2020 marked the 20th anniversary of the event and BET's 40th anniversary.

She is up against Rema (Nigeria) Celeste (UK), Young T & Bugsey (UK), Hatik (France) and Stacy (France).

Her chances of clinching the award were very skint, but she was already a victor because the nomination in itself was a big endorsement of her music.

Since the Award was held live in L.A. Live, Los Angeles, U.S. but streamed virtually due to social distancing protocols Burna Boy was unable to go.

Just like the nomination, this win came as another big surprise to Sha Sha who posted: "Wow, what just happened! My people back at home all all over the world man", she tweeted.

Sha Sha, was born Charmaine Mapimbiro, in Zimbabwe. "Because in order for black lives to matter, Africa must matter". Your voices are being heard and you're proving to our ancestors that their struggles were not in vain.
