Facebook starts rolling out new dark mode features for mobile users”

Facebook has started rolling out Dark Mode support on mobile users and the feature is now live with some users globally. Finally, after a long wait, Facebook's mobile app has started receiving dark mode. After all, it is the only app in the company's umbrella, which includes WhatsApp and Instagram, to not have Dark Mode.

There is no word on the official rollout date for the dark mode support on Facebook, however, it is expected to happen soon.

After the discovery by some users of the feature's availability, Facebook confirmed to SocialMediaToday on Friday that it is officially out, but it is only usable by "a small percentage of users globally right now". The nation's largest carrier spent almost $1.9 million on Facebook and Instagram ads from May 22nd to June 20th. It's not certain why the core mobile app is the last in line, but SMT noted that Facebook has a massive number of mobile users (3 billion are active across its various apps on a monthly basis). The major highlight of the new design was the support for dark mode.

This followed users of the app claiming they were able to switch to the feature on devices running iOS 13. Prominent changes have been made to Pages as well. Videos and Photos that appeared on the top have been moved to the left side and all the posts appear on the right side, below the information in About section.
