Sacha Baron Cohen Pranks Conservative Rally Into Singing Racist Lyrics

Sacha Baron Cohen Pranks Conservative Rally Into Singing Racist Lyrics”

Baron Cohen was honored previous year by the Anti-Defamation League because of his record of using humor to fight hate, including through his Showtime series "Who is America?" which satirizes American politics.

The Daily Beast reports Baron Cohen smuggled himself onto the stage of the March for our Rights 3 rally in Olympia, Washington, where he and his band performed a deeply racist and conspiratorial bluegrass number.

The outrageous funnyman has yet to take responsibility for the stunt, but onlookers claim he posed as the leader of a Political Action Committee (PAC), who offered to sponsor the festival and pay for a stage and security. He also said, "His security blocked event organizers from getting him off the stage, or pulling power from the generator".

During his singalong, Baron Cohen talked about injecting Obama, Fauci, the World Health Organization, CNN, and anyone caught wearing a mask with the "Wuhan flu" or chopping them up "like the Saudis do", a reference to the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Anyway, Cohen managed to infiltrate a far-right rally in rural Washington state yesterday afternoon by, first of all, offering to donate to the rally and then, offering to hire security for said event. Hillary Clinton what we gonna do, lock her up like we used to do. Corona is a liberal hoax.

Among the song's other targets: Bill Gates, the World Health Organisation, and U.S. infectious disease expert Dr Anthony Fauci, all of whom are referenced in ridiculous conspiracy theories relating to coronavirus. WHO, what we gonna do? "W H O what we gonna do, Chop them up like the Saudis do". Representatives for Showtime did not respond to Variety's request for comment by the time of publication.
