Thurston County adds six new COVID-19 cases on Friday”

On Friday, the Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department said there are three new positive cases of COVID-19 in Ohio County.

Three women in their 20s, one in her 30s, a man in his 40s and a woman in her 70s are the most recently diagnosed county residents.

The county reports 43 total cases with 21 of those active. The total for the county is now 145, with 73 cases that are actively being monitored by the Health Department and 70 that have recovered.

ECHD received notice today of 3 new positive cases of Coronavirus in Effingham County.

According to the Kansas Department of Health & Environment, there are now 15,919 cases and 277 deaths statewide. Hunt County had 25 new cases, Grayson County reported 23 new cases, Lamar County confirmed 20 new cases and Fannin County had 13 new cases of COVID-19.

"It is with great regret that we announce our second COVID-19 death".

The U.S. has almost 2.8 million cases of COVID-19 with 129,438 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University.
