'Dragon Quest XI S' comes to Xbox and PC on December 4th

After a stint on Nintendo Switch, Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition is coming to PlayStation 4, PC (Steam), and Xbox One (including Xbox Game Pass) on December 4, 2020.

We awarded Dragon Quest 11 an 8.8. review when it was first released on PS4 in 2018.

Previously released for the Nintendo Switch a year ago, Dragon Quest XI S Definitive Edition will launch on December 4.

New character side stories. Square Enix also took to Xbox Wire to describe Dragon Quest XI to a potential new audience not familiar with the series. The Definitive Edition includes new additions made to the original PlayStation 4 version, including new side stories for companions, 2D mode & the 16-bit World of Tickington, English & Japanese audio, an orchestrated soundtrack, photo mode, among many other quality of life improvements.

Square Enix is selling Dragon Quest XI S for $40 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and there's no upgrade option or discount for current players who want to experience the new Definitive Edition content. With a ragtag band of adventurers, you'll engage in well-balanced, turn-based battles and embark on quests across the kingdom of Erdrea.

The game, an enhanced version of the Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age (Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete) game, launched for Nintendo Switch in September 2019.
