Kate Middleton and Prince William donate 1.8 million pounds to coronavirus charity

Kate Middleton and Prince William donate 1.8 million pounds to coronavirus charity”

Photos of the event were released on July 23 and it was revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge pledged over $3 million (£1.8 million) from their The Royal Foundation to support frontline workers and the U.K.'s mental health during the coronavirus pandemic.

The royals spoke earlier this week with two emergency responders and two mental health counsellors at Queen Elizabeth II's Sandringham Estate.

The royal couple announced they are donating 1.8 million pounds-the equivalent of almost 2.3 million United States dollars-to ten charities benefiting mental health and frontline workers.

The Duke added: "It's great to hear how The Royal Foundation is supporting you and many others to build resilience and give you the networks you need through its Covid-19 Response Fund, which will help ten leading charities continue their crucial work".

Kate and William, along with Prince Harry, launched a campaign called Heads Together in 2016 to inspire more people to speak out about mental health and tackle the stigma around the topic.

They have also shared personal experiences from their family's time in lockdown.

Thanks, as always Kate, for demonstrating that it is possible to do good while looking good. "And although you don't want to scare them and make it too overwhelming, I think it is appropriate to acknowledge it in the simple ways and age-appropriate ways".

Britain's Prince George, third in line to the throne after his grandfather Prince Charles and father Prince William, was shown flashing a gap-toothed smile in two photos released to mark his seventh birthday. Kate Middleton looked effortlessly stunning in a simple Suzannah shirt dress during her recent visit with Prince William as part of their work with the Royal Foundation.

One fan wrote: "Looks so much like his dad!"
