COVID 19: Minnesota's Positive Cases Top 50000”

Locally, Stearns County added 20 cases, Sherburne County added 18 cases, and Benton County added two. Health officials say diagnosis was hard because the vaping damage looked a lot like the symptoms of COVID-19.

Minnesota had 149 confirmed or probable cases of vaping-associated lung injuries, and three deaths in 2019 before the outbreak tapered off in the fall. It is the first death from the virus reported in Murray County.

New positive cases of COVID-19 were reported in other area counties on Friday as well, the MDH said. There are similar reports of a resurgence of lung injury cases in California.
